Mine Safety Refresher Training
The Michigan Aggregates Association (MAA) has once again partnered with AIS Construction Equipment to provide you and your employees valuable (and required) annual mine safety refresher training.
This year the annual refresher training topics will include a review of 2016 fatalities, proper fall protection requirements, confined space precautions, basic first aid training, and a variety of other topics.
Certified CPR/First Aid Training
For those individuals that require more than the basic first aid training that is offered in the annual safety refresher training, a number of CPR/First Aid Training classes are also available. These classes provide annual mine safety refresher training but also offer the ability to receive certified CPR and first aid training.
The MSHA first aid standard states:
30 CFR 56.18010 First Aid
An individual capable of providing first aid shall be available on all shifts. The individual shall be currently trained and have the skills to perform patient assessment and artificial respiration; control bleeding, and treat shock, wounds, burns, and musculoskeletal injuries. First aid training shall be made available to all interested miners.
First Aid cards are valid for 3 years and CPR cards are valid for 2 years.
