The MAA Safety Committee has recently developed a safety innovation program that recognizes companies who go above and beyond normal safety practices by establishing or developing new ways to be safe. Safety Innovations can be items/practices invented for a specialized use or items/practices that are adapted from other industries and implemented into our own.

In an effort to kick start this new program, the MAA Safety Committee has developed our first MAA Safety Innovation for VSI Crusher Shoe Change Out. This safety innovation was developed to assist employees as they perform the regular maintenance of changing VSI shoes that weigh approximately 100 pounds each. This innovation protects employees from back and shoulder strains and reduces the likelihood of pinched fingers.
