During the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) 2018 Annual Convention in Houston, Randy Lake, president of CRH Americas Materials, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors. During the convention, Lake told NSSGA members that the Rocks Build America 2020 strategic plan would be critical to achieving positive goals for the industry, and that the members should push for the Administration’s proposed $1.5 trillion infrastructure investment, which would be incredible for the industry.
“Optimism is the strongest building material on earth, and I am optimistic about our industry’s future as this association continues to focus on advocating for infrastructure,” Lake says in a press release. “I appreciate this opportunity to serve the members of NSSGA and the industry as chairman.”
Lake has held numerous positions with increasing responsibility at CRH. He holds an MBA from Marymount University and a BS in Business Administration from Grace College.
Michael W. Johnson, NSSGA president and CEO, said that the association and member companies are looking forward to Lake’s leadership. “We are very fortunate to have someone so experienced and dedicated to the industry as Randy to lead us through the next year,” says NSSGA President and CEO Michael W. Johnson in the press release. “He is the ideal person to lead our association through the tremendous opportunities ahead.”
